While engaged in spirited debates (some call it arguing) with your family during Thanksgiving dinner, it can be easy to forget about all the good things in life. At Land O’Lakes, Inc., we have a lot to be thankful for – and we read somewhere it’s helpful to write those things down.
And as we did so, the full scale and scope of our mission became clear. In 2017 we took huge steps in our mission to feed human progress. Together with our farmer-owners, we’re working across crop inputs and insights, animal nutrition, dairy foods and sustainability to produce high quality and affordable food.
We believe this vital effort nurtures humanity. Our work achieves the greatest potential of food production, from farm to fork, so communities around the world can build a sustainable future for generations to come.
We’re thankful to have this mission. Here are a few other things we’re thankful for:
-
Our cooperative network, which is made up of around 2,000 dairy farmers and 800 local cooperatives that serve more than 300,000 farmers and ranchers across the country.
-
Our nearly 10,000 highly skilled workers who feed human progress every day.
-
This amazing sugar cookie recipe. Where would the holidays be without LAND O LAKES® butter and the joy it brings to millions of families?
-
The generosity of our employees – and the $1.9 million they raised for the Twin Cities United Way this year – and their daily commitment to being leaders in their communities.
-
50 years of Kozy Shack and continuing the Gruppuso family traditions that make this pudding so special.
-
Our merger with United Suppliers and the total agronomy solutions we’re now able to deliver as WinField United.
-
The Purina Animal Nutrition researchers who have conducted more than 24,000 research studies in fields across the country and registered more than 125 patents.
-
Vermont Creamery joining the #squad.
-
Bringing our ag tech story to the SXSW stage and giving voice to our unique agriculture technology efforts that will shape the future of farming.
-
Our Believers, Land O’Lakes employees doing the quiet work for the good of all. Those that believe that when we work together, we work better.
-
Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN, a truly unique business that believes real sustainability is achieved acre-by-acre and farmer-by-farmer.
-
The grand opening of the WinField® United Innovation Center, a state-of-the-art product and technology testing and development facility, that will serve as a global hub of agronomy research and development.
-
And of course, Tractor.
We’re wishing you all a happy holiday season and a 2018 full of things you’ll be thankful for.
