June’s National Dairy Month is all about the cooperation between farmers, community members, manufacturers, retailers and consumers all to celebrate nutritious, delicious milk.
In support of June Dairy Month, we’re leveraging all our internal and external channels to celebrate the important role Land O’Lakes member-owners play in the dairy industry—and we’re giving back to the community in the process.
Raise a Glass for women in dairy farming
On June 1, we kick off June Dairy Month with our second annual enterprise-wide Raise a Glass World Milk Day social media activation.
For 24 hours, our social media channels will feature photos of, and tributes to, Land O’Lakes women in dairy farming. For every like, comment or share these tributes received, the Land O’Lakes Foundation will donate $1 to the 4-H youth organization, up to a total $20,000.
Last year, we reached more than 2 million people with this campaign, generated more than 30,000 likes/comments/shares and achieved our goal of donating $20,000 to 4-H!

World Milk Day is a worldwide day of recognition for the wholesome nutrition of nature’s most perfect food — milk. Across the globe, 1 billion people’s livelihoods depend on dairy farming, something we’re celebrating as we unite as a global industry.
Established by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 2001, it recognizes the importance of milk as a global food. It has been observed on June 1 ever since. The day is intended to provide an opportunity to bring attention to activities that relate to the dairy sector.

Undeniably Devoted to Dairy
Our partners across the dairy industry, including Undeniably Dairy, are using National Dairy Month as the perfect opportunity to amplify the value of the people and products behind dairy. One exciting way to highlight the idea of “Undeniably Devoted to Dairy” is through epic displays of devotion in the form of murals.
Two large murals have been completed; the first is displayed at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where thousands of people will see it unveiled in time for the Indy 500 race.
The second mural is displayed on the visitor center wall at Dutch Hollow Farm in upstate New York. This mural tells the story of the critical relationship between a chef and his farmer and is one half of a set. The second half will grace the walls of the Tribeca restaurant of well-known Chef Marc Forgione.
