We can never say thank you enough.
That’s why we’re taking advantage of October, which is National Co-Op Month and includes National Farmers Day on October 12, to send a big shout-out to our member-owners who form our cooperative system.
Land O’Lakes knows how important cooperatives are. Our cooperative system is made up of around 3,000 direct producer members and nearly 800 local cooperatives who represent more than 300,000 farmers. In all, this network encompasses 25 percent of America’s farmers, and half of America’s farmland.
We believe co-ops are good for farmers, good for communities and good for our future.
So, we’re partnering with a coalition of national and local partners to recognize and thank farmers on National Farmers Day, October 12. We’ll be sharing our love across the social media landscape with special messages, photos and videos.
We’ve made it easy it for you to share the love, too. Check out our special microsite and download fun graphics to help spread the word on Oct. 12.
For well over a century, communities around the country have honored America’s hard-working farmers on National Farmers Day. This year, Land O’Lakes, Inc. wants to unify those voices to give a resounding “thank you” to the men and women who work in the fields, barns and dairy parlors to provide safe, abundant and affordable food supply.
Working together as a cooperative, we can unlock the greatest potential of food production, from farm to fork, so communities around the world can build a sustainable future.
As a cooperative, we know the hard work farmers put in every day. This month, let’s make sure the world knows it.
